WELCOME TO MAJAPAHIT BEACH VILLAS

Bordered by rice fields and coconut groves, Majapahit Beach Villas is a three-villa complex near Ketewel on Bali’s southeast coast that blends contemporary style with modern comfort, and design elements with traditional artistry and symbolism. Each villa has a private pool and jacuzzi, with four bedroom Villa Maya in an absolute beachfront position, with a separate honeymoon suite enjoying wide sea views. Three bedroom Villa Raj and Villa Nataraja are set back from the beach with sea views from the upstairs balconies. The fully staffed villas can be rented in any combination of rooms to suit any sized group, and are especially well suited for large weddings.

Villa Maya – Beach Front Villa

Elevated above the water’s edge and soothed by the prevailing easterly sea breezes, Villa Maya offers that combination of relaxed indoor and outdoor gourmet living that a thousand and one coffee table books have gushed about for years.

The villa presents a two storey main building plus an antique, one-bedroom, wooden Joglo house imported from Java and retrofitted with all the comforts of modern day living. The main building encompasses three bedrooms and a living and dining room next to a 14-metre swimming pool, plus an open-sided living and dining pavilion. A relaxation balé and a massage pavilion are set within a garden that is open to the beach with a broad wooden deck overlooking the view. A door in an adjoining wall leads to the one-bedroom Joglo villa complete with an open-sided sitting and dining room and kitchenette. The Joglo is set within its own private garden with a private swimming pool and beachside deck.

Inside, sophisticated decor and a generous smattering of tribal objets d’art fill the villa with the wonderment of the Indies while a mix of modern and antique furnishings, top quality linens upon queen and king-sized beds, mean comfort is assured. Practicalities are taken care of in the staff service area. Superb gourmet cuisine is prepared by
Majapahit Beach Villas’ excellent chef while personal butlers offer first-class service and a level of sophistication that even top hotels strive to provide. Villa Maya’s beautiful beachfront Joglo house, pool, garden and ocean-view deck make this villa particularly well-suited for weddings and other large events.

Villa Nataraja – Garden and Sea View

Surrounded by rice fields, tobacco plantations, papaya, banana and coconut groves, and only a stone’s throw from the sea, Villa Nataraja offers guests a combination of relaxed indoor and outdoor gourmet living. Although set back from the beach, the upper floor of the villa is blessed with spectacular views of the ocean, while a 13-metre area of beachfront has been specially allocated for the use of guests at Nataraja and her sister villa, Raj.

Villa Nataraja comprises a two-storey main building, housing three bedrooms and a central living area, overlooking a lush walled garden with a swimming pool, massage pavilion and relaxation balé. The landscaping and contemporary architecture of the shingle-roofed villa are based on traditional Balinese principles, utilising local materials and incorporating the essential elements of Balinese Hindu philosophy and symbolism. Dining

Dining at Majapahit Beach Villas works on a priced, restaurant-style menu system with a with a wide array of Western and Japanese dishes available anytime of the day. Each villa has its own private chef who prepares meals in the estate's central, professionally equipped kitchen to be served up in your location of choice at the villa. Guests will be presented with their food and beverage bill upon departure.

Many Western meals are available, but we recommend you to try some of the cooks' Indonesian and Balinese dishes for a true cultural experience. Vegetarian and children's dishes also feature on the menu, and if you have any special dietary requirements, please talk to the chef, who will strive to comply with all of your wishes. Likewise, if you would like to arrange a special feast – a seafood barbecue, the famous Balinese delicacy of babi guling (spit-roast pig), roast duck, or even a birthday cake – simply consult with the chef in advance and the staff will take care of everything.

Children at Majapahit Beach Villas

The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. With a great selection of sports activities and equipment, including bicycles, masks and snorkels and the option to charter the villas’ traditional sailing boat for fishing and snorkelling trips, Majapahit Beach Villas are particularly well set up for families with older children. (Families with toddlers will need to be vigilant, due to the villas’ open staircases and unguarded pools and water features.)

The team of friendly staff at the villas will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).

The staff will happily prepare meals for babies and fussy young eaters – just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or chef and they will take care of the rest. Chicken nuggets or spaghetti beside the pool? No problem. The chef can customise all meals to suit children’s taste buds.

Don’t worry about packing all that cumbersome kids’ equipment for your stay. Just let us know what you need, and anything we don’t have in-house (villa facilities include a baby cot and highchair) we can hire on your behalf.

Spa

Our villa offers guests “In–villa” spa treatments provided by Majapahit Spa’s professionally trained staff. The body treatment programs provide therapeutic, relaxing and rejuvenating experiences using natural products to enhance well being and reduce stress.

Guests at Majapahit Beach Villas can enjoy a selection of spa treatments or a massage in the privacy of their bedrooms or in the poolside balés. Spa services are provided by Majapahit Beach Villas’ own highly trained therapists who are on site to administer a wide range of treatments from the spa menu. Indulgences include traditional Balinese massage, hot stone massage, reflexology, body scrubs (including the green tea scrub), the royal Javanese wedding treatment known as Mandi Lulur, traditional facials, pedicure and manicures, and the special two hour Majapahit Honeymoon Package.
