HISTORY AND NEW BEGINNINGS

Originally built as a Grand Estate over 250 years ago, the property, which is nowadays known as Mas Mateu has been exquisitely restored to its former glory,
blending centuries-old traditional features with a host of state of the art amenities. Situated amongst the undulating Gavarran Mountains, in the heart of Girona, the main house is
nestled within a sprawling 173 acre forested estate, ensuring complete privacy.

BUILT FOR OUTDOOR LIVING

Life outside at Mas Mateu’s revolves around the extensive outdoor summer pavilion. Here, facilities include a summer kitchen housed in an ancient barn, a large infinity
edge swimming pool complex, football field, basketball court, paddle-tennis court, an outdoor barbeque, and the summer pavilion itself, with sofas inside and out, as well as
extensive dining areas, and of course wide open spaces in which to relax, walk, jog and discover.

RELAX AND RETREAT

Within the house there are many areas to relax. Not least the vast living room suite, which has views as far across the estate and beyond that the eye can see. Curl up on one of the many sofas with a book. Maybe read about Dalí from one of the assortment of books to be found in the library, or put some music on. Mas Mateu has a sophisticated sound system in every room, as well as outside! The doors to the main living room are floor-to-ceiling glass and are electronically controlled to open, allowing you to be outside,
when you are inside. Apart from the comfy living room, there is also a dedicated cinema, spa & gym, and a beautifully appointed second living room, complete with full-size pool
table and relaxing sofas.
