Grasshopper is an enchanting original Oliver Messel designed Caribbean villa which has been recently renovated, decorated and has new bathrooms, interior limestone floors and new kitchen. Ideally situated close to all the island’s facilities including the tennis courts, riding stables, Cotton House Hotel on Endeavour Bay, Macaroni beach, Basil’s Bar and Firefly.

Living

The main house features delightful open living and dining space. There are two bedrooms (they can be twin or king) which share a bathroom - perfect for children. The Master Bedroom is situated across the lawn in a private cottage with en-suite shower room and separate dressing room. There are two more very pretty bedroom cottages each with en-suite shower room. There is a lovely garden with a large flat lawn which gives a wonderful feeling of space and makes it ideal for children. Beside the pool there is a gingerbread-style gazebo with seating for relaxing in the shade or having a cocktail and there is an outside dining area under the trellis on the verandah.

The majority of our provisions are ordered on the mainland of Saint Vincent although there is an on island grocery store and fish market. Food and beverages can be pre-ordered prior to your arrival and menus, special dietary requirements and requests can be discussed before your vacation with the Villa rentals office. Order lists for food and beverages can be sent with your booking confirmation or alternatively you can wait until your arrival and discuss your preferences with the chef or the butler once on island. All shopping and food and beverage orders will be collected by your villa staff on your behalf and every effort will be made to meet your requests.

Meet the Chef

Kendra Haynes has been at Grasshopper since 2007. She is a fabulous cook having trained in St. Vincent and worked at a resort there. She has attended various training courses on and off island including the Advanced Contemporary Cuisine Training (2008), the Contemporary Cuisine and Advanced Food Preparation in (September 2010). Kendra loves cooking, learning new recipes and reading cookbooks. She is also charming and loves to make her guests happy.
