Close to Avignon, this extremely comfortable château dates back to the 14th century. It is divided into two parts : the LUXURY wing which has 2 bedrooms and the GUEST wing which has 11 bedrooms. It would be absolutely ideal for a VIP who wanted to invite family and friends to stay whilst maintaining his own privacy.

Location
 
A 5 minute drive from Avignon, a European centre for arts and culture with a variety of starred restaurants, cinemas and luxury shops. Avignon is well served by a network of highways, trains (TGV)  at 11kms/6 miles and several airports (Avignon at 18kms/11 miles, Nîmes at 40kms/24 miles, and Marseilles at 90kms/55 miles).
 
Many direct flights daily from London to AVIGNON, MARSEILLES and NIMES airports.

Description
 
Following a day exploring Avignon or the villages and markets of Provence, you will enjoy cooling off in the large swimming-pool (14 m x 7 m – 45ft x 22ft) (HEATED in the cooler months), relaxing in the garden or park, or simply enjoying a siesta on one of the covered terraces.
 
For many years this château was a stopover for Church dignitaries waiting to have an audience with the Pope. Today, completely restored, it is an ideal holiday destination thanks to its position between Italy and Spain, Mont Ventoux and the Mediterranean, and because of its high level of comfort - all the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, all the beds are 180cm wide and all of them can be made into twin beds, plus it is also completely air conditioned and has the additional attraction for VIPs of being divisible into two :
 
The LUXURY wing for the hosts = the east wing
 
The GUEST wing for guests, family or even staff = the west wing 
 
 
 
The East Wing:
 
This is the most luxurious wing of the château (approx. 600 m2/6,458 sq ft) at the back of which, on the second floor, are also the manager’s and the housekeeper’s apartments.
 
 
 
Ground floor:
 
A magnificent entrance hall with a huge staircase, a guest cloakroom with wc (service access at the back with a baggage lift)
 
Vaulted drawing room with a fireplace.
 
The ‘bar sitting room’, vaulted ceiling, huge sofas, fireplace, large screen satellite tv, games table, etc. From this room, a communicating door leads to the guest dining room and patio in the other part of the chateau.
 
A dining room which can seat up to 25, looking onto a landscaped courtyard with a fountain  (an outdoor " al fresco" dining area under the plane trees)
 
Fully equipped kitchen including a chef’s piano with five gas burners, 2 ovens, a plancha, 2 dishwashing machines, an American fridge, toasters, a meat slicing machine, a Nespresso machine, etc. (Service access at the back.)

Master suites:

 •‘Madame’s bedroom’ with its own bathroom, basin, a whirlpool bath, wc, spacious cupboards. Lovely view over the park.
 
 
 
These two rooms have an inter-communicating door but also open onto the corridor. This corridor provides access for service, to the hall, ‘monsieur’s’ bathroom and the large dressing room. 
 
 
 
The West Wing:

On the ground floor of the château is a spacious vaulted living room with a fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating.  Off the living room is a cosy library corner.
 
A fully-equipped Provençal kitchen with all appliances, plenty of prep space and a large dining table. A separate dining room leads to a covered outdoor dining area and beyond, a large open patio.
 
There is also a powder room and laundry room on this floor.
 
A cosy double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

1 single bedroom with small kitchenette and bathroom with shower
 
Second floor :
 
4 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms
