A way of life, elegance and attractive countryside characterize the features of this property in Provence. The house has 7 rooms. A basin style pool in the middle of one of the gardens is embellished with a small house, an ideal reading-room for having a rest. A Marseille style cottage with barbecue. The Mas is 10 minutes’ drive from St Remy and 15 minutes from the Avignon TGV station or regional airport (some flights to UK and rest of Europe).
 
It is 40 minutes from the Marseille International Airport (Marignane) and 1 hour from the Mediterranean Sea.

-          A living-room with a fireplace and a shaded terrace overlooking one of the gardens in the west and over the big garden in the south, TV (Satellite, DVD, CD)  large library with numerous beautiful books about gardens and Provence.

-          A Provencal kitchen fully equipped ( American fridge,  large gas stove with 2 ovens, many small appliances, Nespresso machine)

-          In the south under the plane trees overlooking the main garden, a large area for lunch and dinner.

-          Two bedrooms with a double bed (160) sharing a bathroom with tub and independent toilet in the corridor at the back.
 
-          At the end of the corridor : one bedroom with  king-sized bed (180), a wardrobe and a bathroom with a bathtub, shower and toilet
 
-          A laundry room with dryer and washer, steamer.
 
 
 On the 2nd floor: carpeted wall to wall
 
 
-          A twin bedded room  (90) x2 and a bathroom with a shower and toilet
 
-          A large double bedroom (160), wardrobe, bathroom with bathtub and toilet
 
 
 
All bedroom windows have screens. There are telephones in each bedroom. The large plane trees in the front provide shade and cooling to the thick walls of this beautiful old house
 
There is a garage for two cars at the back of the house near the caretaker’s house.

The Gardens
 
There are many different spaces, each possessing a unique ambiance.
 
“For us in Provence, where you often live outdoors, a garden is an extension of the house”, says the owner. You need lots of different places with different ambiences where you can walk, relax, have dinner or lunch”.
 
 
 •    The” African Garden” a separate part of the property is  a total change of scenery :a beautiful heated pool 2 meter deep ,15m x 5 m with electric rolling cover, accessed by gently sloping stairs,  with an African hut style covered area  : a small kitchen (microwave, small fridge, cooktop, Nespresso machine, Weber BBQ ) . One room with 2 single beds for an afternoon nap. At the back a hot shower, toilet, and basin.
 
 
 
A collection of small gardens including:
 
 
 •  The “Barraca”: a lodge with an old-style bed for one person, wood burning stove, many books, small basin style pool (not heated but alarmed) deck chairs and loungers. Climbing vines and scented jasmine add to the atmosphere
 
 
 •   A medieval garden of yellow flowers
 
 
 •   A children’s garden with a small house, stage and tree house
 
 
 •  Most bucolic is « la Piccola » with a Marseille style cabanon and BBQ, sink, dishwasher, toilet and a small bed where you can enjoy a quiet siesta. Nearby is topiary formed into the shape of ‘Piccolo’ the donkey who lived here in the past.
 
 
 •Kitchen garden, herb garden. A henhouse, greenhouse and the black cat that lives there.
