Considered one of the most important villas in the Lake region, Villa Ossuccio is set in glorious gardens leading down to the lake, with the mountains of the Swiss Alps as its backdrop. Very few other residences offer such choices and convenience where one can reach by just a few kilometers from the mountains to the lake, from alpine valleys to small hills.  Its distance from Como Town is app/ 20 kms which can be reached by road or by boat from the private dock at the estate.

Over the centuries, the Villa Ossuccio was owned by various noble families, including Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, in the 1600s added enriching elements to it including the beautiful frescoing, while transforming the gardens that lead down to the edge of the lake with various statues and fountains.

The villa was the venue in the 1700s where the high society aristocracy hosted various social events such as parties and concerts.  The villa also hosted many distinguished scholars, artists, patrons and collectors for lenghty intellectuals discussions.

Nowadays Villa Ossuccio provides you with all the charm of the past, with its walls adorned with spectacular Baroque frescoes, and with all the modern comforts.

The grandioso interiors with 6500 sq. metres of living space spread over three floors was renovated by a top French decorator  Jacques Garcia.. The main entrance leads to the magnificent lobby decorated with original frescoes, surrounded by a dining room, a library, a winter garden and three salons. All these rooms have marble floors and original frescoes on the walls and ceilings. Adjacent are the kitchen and a covered terrace with fireplace for outdoor dining.

On the first floor, the lake view corridor leads to the studio, the master suite and the guest suites which surround the Cathedral ceiling Central Salon.  A marble staircase leads to the second floor where you will find  four luxurious en suite bedrooms with their marble bathrooms, overlooking the Cathedral ceiling Central Salon. Each bathroom is of different types of marble and other material brought in from around the world.

All the rooms are beautifully furnished with antiques of rare beauty and preciousness.

In the gardens are vine clad walls and cozy areas where you can enjoy private moment to snooze or read a book or enjoy the views of the lake while sipping a glass of delicious wine from the region. In season the blue iris  are abundant and the organic  vegetable garden with seasonal produce which guests can enjoy .

A boat can be rented to enjoy the charms of the lake and can be parked in the private garage.
The nearest major international airports are Milan-Malpensa and Milan-Linate (both an hour drive away). For private aviation, the closest airport is Lugano in Switzerland (45 minutes away).

each bedroom has a TV, pillows are from Yves Delorme (hollow fill/feather). The villa has beach/water access and walkable to a town. The villa is equipped with a lift therefore usable by wheelchair users, but at the entrance hall there are a few stairs, this can be solved upon request. Small pets are allowed upon request. Together with Villa Ossuccio it is possible to rent Vilino nearby the villa; Villino has 4 double and 1 single bedroom, the bedrooms are more standard than those of Villa Ossuccio in terms of décor and style
