Castello di Magona is a magnificent 16th Century castle situated in a prime location with stunning views over the countryside, Elba Island, and the sea beyond. This romantically beautiful historic residence retains all its original characteristics and period furnishings while offering modern comforts and a wide range of facilities to enhance your stay.

The castle boasts exclusive grounds with a rose garden, an entrance garden with private parking, and outdoor living spaces perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco. Guests can enjoy a private swimming pool (12m x 6m) and a Jacuzzi hot tub, both set in a secluded area shaded by pines and overlooking an olive grove.

Once the abode of Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany, Castello di Magona is located in a peaceful and private countryside setting, just 1 km from Venturina Terme and a short drive from the beautiful Tuscan coast and sandy beaches. A private avenue of cypresses and pines leads to the castle’s automatic gate, revealing the imposing property with its romantic ivy-clad facade.

Inside, the villa features high ceilings, antique furnishings, oil paintings, and family heirlooms. The ground level includes various lounge rooms with period furnishings, a large entrance hall with ancient paintings and coats of arms, three living rooms (two with fireplaces), a reading room with a computer desk, a professional fully equipped kitchen, and a dining room with a fireplace and frescoes.

The castle’s upper floors house thirteen characteristic bedrooms, each individually decorated with different color schemes and many featuring hand-painted ceilings, frescoes, and antique pieces. Eleven bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, while two share one bathroom. Modern comforts include air conditioning, digital TV, and fast Wi-Fi.

The mature grounds surround the castle, with the main entrance hall opening onto a lovely rear rose garden with an al fresco dining area and an outdoor living area.
